The Family & Student Portal lets parents, guardians and sponsors follow their children’s school life from a phone or computer: results, report cards, fees, attendance, timetable, homework and school announcements. College and university students can have their own login too. This guide is for families and students.
- Where The Family & Student Portal (sign in with the details your school gave you)
- Who can use it Parents, guardians and sponsors the school has invited. Students at tertiary or postgraduate level can also be invited; younger pupils use the portal through their parents.
Getting your account and signing in
You can’t sign up yourself. The school creates your account from the email address it holds for you, and sends you an email titled something like Your Kasoa Hills School parent portal account.
- Open the email. It shows Your username.
- Click the link under To choose your password and pick a password.
- Sign in with your username (or email address) and that password, using the sign-in link in the same email. You go straight to your portal.
Forgot your password? On the sign-in page, click Lost your password? and follow the email you’re sent.
No email? Check your spam folder, then ask the school office to check your email address and invite you again.
Your home page
After signing in you see Welcome with your name, then a card for each child linked to your account. You don’t need to switch between children: they’re all on the same page. A student sees just their own card, already opened.
Each card shows the child’s class and admission number, their Fee balance and Attendance for the term, and a View Details button. If the card says the child has graduated or left, their past results and fees are still there.
Above the cards, choose This term or Last term under Show attendance and fees for. Your choice is remembered. School Announcements appear below the cards; click Read more to open a long one.
Results and report cards
- Click View Details on your child’s card. The Results tab opens.
- Pick an exam from the buttons at the top. The newest one opens first.
- You see the class position, average, attendance and, if the school uses them, the overall grade and aggregate. Below is each subject’s class score, exam score, total and grade, then the teachers’ remarks.
- Click Download report card (PDF) to save or print the report card.
The Results history tab lists every published exam subject by subject. College students see a Transcript tab instead, with their GPA, CGPA and credit hours.
Results only appear once the school publishes them. Until then you’ll see No results have been published yet.
Fees and paying
Open the Fees tab. For the chosen term it lists each invoice with its Total, Paid, Balance and status (Paid, Part paid, Unpaid or Overdue), followed by your Payment history with receipt numbers.
- Click Download invoice (PDF) to keep a copy.
- If your school takes online payments, click Pay Online on an invoice with a balance. You’re taken to a secure payment page, then back to the portal, which shows Confirming your payment… and then the result.
- If there’s no Pay Online button, a How to pay box tells you to pay at the school’s accounts office and which invoice number to quote. Your receipt appears once the school records it.
If a child still owes money on older invoices, the card says Still owed on all invoices with the full amount.
Timetable and homework
- Timetable: the class timetable one day at a time, opening on today. Tap a day to change it.
- Homework: homework still due (soonest first, with Due today highlighted), earlier homework, and any Learning materials the teachers have shared.
Messages and notifications
Use the chat button at the bottom of the screen to message staff at your school. Click New, search for the person by name and type your message. Your past conversations are listed when you open the chat.
The bell at the top shows notices for you. Click one to mark it read, or Mark all read. To be alerted on your phone, click Enable notifications in the chat window and allow notifications when your browser asks.
Install it as an app
When your phone or computer can install the portal, an Install app button appears at the top. Click it and follow the steps. On an iPhone or iPad, tap the Share button in Safari, then Add to Home Screen. Afterwards, open the portal from its icon like any other app.
