Timetable holds your school’s weekly class schedule: which subject each class has, on which day, at what time, and with which teacher. Each lesson is one slot, and the same week repeats until you change it.
- Where Attendance & Timetable → Timetable
- Who can use it Anyone whose role includes Timetable.
- Set up first Streams & Classes, Subjects and, for the teacher list, Teachers
Add a slot
- Click Add Slot.
- Choose the Class and the Subject, for example JHS 1 and Mathematics.
- Choose the Teacher (optional), or leave it on Unassigned. Only teaching staff are listed.
- Choose the Day of Week. It starts on Monday.
- Set the Start Time and End Time, for example 08:00 to 08:45.
- Click Save Slot. You go back to the weekly schedule.
Class, subject and both times are required, and the start time must be before the end time.
No double-booking a class. If the class already has a slot that overlaps that time on that day, the slot isn’t saved and a message tells you. Change the time, or edit the slot that’s already there.
Find a class’s or teacher’s week
The Weekly Schedule lists every slot, sorted by day and then time. Once there are a few slots, two filters appear above it:
- Class shows one class’s week, for example to check it against the printed timetable on the wall.
- Teacher shows one teacher’s week.
If your login is linked to a teacher’s staff record, the list opens on your own week. Choose All Teachers to see everyone.
The cards at the top count all slots, how many classes and teachers have slots, and how many slots fall on today’s day of the week.
Change or delete a slot
- Click the pencil icon on a slot to change its class, subject, teacher, day or times, then click Save Slot.
- Click the bin icon and confirm to delete it.
Tip: To hand a class over to a new teacher, edit each of that class’s slots and change the teacher. Filter by the old teacher’s name first so you don’t miss any.
Where the timetable is used
- Parents and students see their class’s timetable on the Timetable tab of the parent portal.
- When a teacher starts a new note in Lesson Notes, their lessons for the week are filled in from their slots.
Good to know
- The app checks for clashes within a class only. It doesn’t warn you if one teacher is booked into two classes at the same time, so check the Teacher filter.
- There is one weekly timetable. It isn’t tied to a term, so update it when the timetable changes for a new term.
- There are no break or assembly slots. Leave those times empty.
- Saturday and Sunday are available for schools that teach at weekends.
