Assignments is the list of homework and assignments you set for each class, with what it is and when it’s due. Parents and students see their class’s assignments in the portal, so they know what’s coming up.

Read the list
Each row shows the title, class, subject, teacher and due date. A due date in red means it has passed.
The cards at the top count:
- Total Assignments: everything in the list.
- Due This Week: due today or in the next 7 days.
- Overdue: due dates that have already passed.
- Classes Covered: how many different classes have at least one assignment.
Change or delete an assignment
- Click the pencil icon to change any detail, then click Save Assignment. For example, move the due date if the class needs more time.
- Click the bin icon and confirm to delete it. It also disappears from the portal.
What parents and students see
In the parent portal, the Homework tab for each child lists their class’s assignments: title, subject, description and due date, with upcoming ones separated from past ones. Learning materials you share in LMS appear on the same tab.
Changes show in the portal straight away. Don’t save an assignment for a class until you’re ready for parents to see it.
Good to know
- Assignments is a noticeboard, not a marking tool. Students can’t hand work in here, and there’s nowhere to record marks. Enter marks for class tests and exercises in Score Entry.
- Everyone who can open the screen sees and can edit every class’s assignments, not only their own.
- “Overdue” just means the due date has passed. The app doesn’t know who has done the work.
- Assignments stay in the list until you delete them. Delete old ones now and then to keep the list and the portal tidy.
